As a follow up to my article on Salt Lake City rent I found this and wanted to link to it.
Salt Lake City rent is sometimes hard to pay when people are down on their luck. That’s one of the things Salt Lake City Rescue Mission helps with.
They serve about 500 meals a day to the homeless. Other services provided are therapy, apartments, job education, and a shuttle service to take people to appointmnts and interviews according to the folks at https://www.deseretnews.com/article/705389079/More-than-just-a-sandwich-for-Salt-Lakes-homeless.html.
“Most of them have been hurt by society, so there isn’t a lot of trust,” Chris Croswhite said. “Our goal is to build relationships with our homeless friends so they will join our inpatient recovery program and get off the streets.”
